TMS and the Inner Life
This paper is concerned with Smith's descriptions of the inner life and other people, especially in relation to his observations about history, which are more extensive in the 1790 TMS than in the TMS of 1759. It also considers TMS in the setting of late eighteenth-century histories of the human mind.
